This policy explains who is responsible for FindRehabCenter.org content, how it is created and why it is published.
Our primary purpose is to help people research rehabilitation services more safely and understand treatment concepts—not to sell rankings, replace clinical assessment or create search-engine content without human accountability.
Editorial responsibility
FindRehabCenter.org content is overseen by Syed Tabraiz Bukhari, a clinical psychologist and the site’s founder and editorial lead. Every published guide or city directory should identify a responsible author or editorial lead and display a meaningful last-updated date.
Content categories
Facility profiles
Structured records of publicly available or provider-submitted information. A profile is not a recommendation and does not prove licensing, quality, suitability or current availability.
City directories
Collections of facility profiles plus practical comparison guidance. Ordering does not imply a clinical ranking unless a clearly disclosed methodology states otherwise.
Treatment guides
Educational explanations of rehabilitation, substance-use treatment and related mental-health concepts. These pages do not provide individual diagnosis or treatment.
Owner submissions
Information supplied by authorised representatives. Provider submission alone does not equal independent verification.
Source standards
We prefer sources in the following order:
- government, regulatory, hospital or university sources;
- official facility websites and official documents;
- professional registers or recognised health-service directories;
- authorised owner submissions supported by evidence;
- identified third-party directories used cautiously and clearly labelled.
Promotional statements, testimonials, outcome claims, bed counts, prices, treatment durations and licensing claims are not treated as established facts merely because they appear online.
Authorship, review and fact-checking
- Bylines should identify a real person responsible for the page.
- Health information should be reviewed by someone with relevant knowledge of psychology, medicine, addiction treatment or the subject being discussed.
- A reviewer is not described as independent when the same person wrote and reviewed the page.
- Pages should distinguish sourced facts from provider claims, interpretation and unresolved uncertainty.
- Material changes should update the visible review date; dates are not changed solely to make old content appear fresh.
Use of AI and automation
AI tools may assist with research organisation, summarisation, comparison of source material, formatting, structured-data preparation or first-draft writing. AI is not credited as an author. A named human editor must check source links, factual claims, clinical wording, conflicts, disclaimers and the final published version.
Medical and safety standards
We avoid personalised medical recommendations, guaranteed outcomes and unsupported claims that one treatment or facility is universally best. Content should encourage assessment by qualified professionals and direct readers to local emergency services or the nearest emergency department when urgent help is needed.
Commercial independence
- Verification labels are not for sale.
- Payment must not determine source labels, correction decisions or editorial conclusions.
- Sponsored content, advertising or paid placement must be clearly identified.
- Provider statements must remain distinguishable from independent editorial text.
Updates and corrections
We review pages when new evidence is supplied, a facility submits an update, a source changes, a material conflict is discovered or a reader reports a credible error. See the corrections policy for the reporting and review process.
Complaints and contact
Editorial questions, rights requests and factual concerns can be submitted through the contact page. Please include the page URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence.
